What New Features Will the 2017 Jeep Cherokee Introduce?

Designated for a mid-cycle update, the 2017 Jeep Cherokee will bring Edmonton, Vancouver, and Calgary a refreshed exterior that is said to include only minor modifications to the popular design. It is thought that Jeep will choose to largely leave the sleek layout as-is, since it has proven to be quite popular and, thanks to improved aerodynamics, has improved the crossover’s overall handling and catapulted it into the number one sales position.

Engineers are said to be working on upgrades to the 8-speed automatic transmission, citing “significant improvements” in shifting capabilities, although the automaker has been quiet as to what exactly those changes will entail.

Jeep is keeping quiet on other changes drivers can expect for the 2017 model as well but, if the car company stays true to form, we can expect that it will be worth waiting for.

How Will the 2017 Jeep Cherokee Resemble the 2016 Model?

Jeep has made no announcement regarding plans to make sweeping changes to any of the five attractive trims already on the road. Drivers will still have access to the available Jeep Active Drive Lock 4×4 system and optional Selec-Terrain Traction Management System that helped to make the Trailhawk Four Wheeler Magazine’s “Four Wheeler of the Year” as well as the handsome precision crafted interior that was named one of Ward’s “10 Best Interiors”, thanks to available Nappa leather-faced seats and an optional command-view dual-pane panoramic sunroof, keeping all of our favorite points intact.
